Who’s Eligible to Marry at Abu Dhabi Court?

To be eligible for a civil marriage in Abu Dhabi, both individuals must meet the following:

  • Be at least 18 years old

  • Consent freely to the marriage

  • Not be currently married to another person

  • Provide valid passports (and Emirates ID, if available)

  • UAE nationals are excluded from this system—all other nationalities may apply
